San Pietro

The San Pietro in Cariano vineyards, in the heart of the historical Valpolicella area are the pride of the Monteci family.
Situated in a wide valley that gives onto the foothills of the Alps , the vines enjoy the cool breeze that descends from the Lessini Mountains mitigated by the warmer temperatures that come up from Lake Garda.
The grapes from these vineyards are very suitable for the ancient technique of raising that permits the production of high-quality, elegant wines bound with the typical characteristics of the region: Recioto, Amarone and Ripasso.
The terracing distinguishing our vineyards is a joy to behold: studded pearls in the Valpollicella hills. It is here indeed that the ancient technique of the “marogne” is used once more: dry walls in a “knife” arrangement built with the typical white stone of Prun taken from the mountains surrounding this famous Valpollicellese town.
