Pol

Pol is a locality that owes its name to the “polesele”, the meanders produced by the Adige River on its journey and that, according to some academics, seem to have been the origin of the name "Valpolicella". This is where Monteci has chosen for the production of its white wines. The Pol vineyards are situated on the morenic hills of Garda and their main characteristic is the close proximity of the Adige River. That is of considerable importance because during the summer it is one of the areas where the temperature changes dramatically between the day and night giving the grapes a marked aroma. It is thus that in this highly suitable area for the production of white wines the Monteci family has decided principally to cultivate the Pinot Grey variety. • Land surface areas: About 10 ha
